Author Guidelines
I. How to Submit Manuscripts
Authors are requested to submit their manuscripts by e-mail (jpk@ejournal.unri.ac.id) or electronically by using the OJS, online submission system at https://jpk.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/JPK/. This site will guide authors through the submission process. The editorial office will acknowledge receipt of the manuscript. When submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author must confirm the following in writing:
- The text and findings reported therein are wholly the work of the authors and those acknowledged.
- The manuscript submitted or the data contained therein has not been published or accepted for publication in any other journal and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
II. File Format
Prepare the text in Microsoft (MS) Word (.docx). Type the body paragraphs of the manuscript in size 10 Times New Roman font, single-spaced, left and right aligned, on one-sided pages and on A4 paper (210 mm x 297 mm) with an upper margin of 2.3 cm, the lower 2.3 cm, and the left and right each 2.5 cm.
III. Organization and Styles of Manuscripts
Manuscript Title
The title clearly describes the manuscript content, concise, informative, and preferably not more than 20 words. The title should avoid abbreviations and formulas. The manuscripts should provide a running title, a short form of manuscript title that is not more than 5 words or phrases. Title of the paper in Indonesia (TMR, 18 pt, Capitalize each Word, Centered), in English (TMR, 16 pt, Capitalize each Word, Centered)
Authors
The manuscript has the main author and co-authors with the full name of both author and co-authors (no abbreviation). The author should indicate the affiliation institute with a clear mail address and email. Author name (13 pt), author affiliation (11 pt), address of the institution, and email address (11 pt).
Abstract
Articles must include an abstract of 200 words or fewer. The abstract should not repeat the information already present in the title. The abstract should be written in English and in Bahasa Indonesia.
Keywords
The keywords should avoid general and plural terms and multiple concepts. Do not use words or terms in the title as keywords. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes. Keywords should not be more than 5 words or phrases in alphabetical order.
Introduction (Size 16 pt)
State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background. Avoid a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results. Explain how to address the problem and clearly state the aims of the study.
Materials and Methods (Size 16 pt)
It should be mentioned the period and place of research. All materials and methods that used such chemicals for analysis, treatment, and experimental design must be stated clearly and briefly. The unit measurement used SI (International Standard Unit) and symbols. Use slash instead of exponent (e.g. kg/ha). Use words when a unit of measure is not involved (e.g. grains per panicle). In the case of a range of values, indicate the unit at the end of the range (e.g. 10-15 t/ha). Avoid beginning a sentence with a symbol. Use the percent symbol (%) with figures only (e.g. 5%), and spell it out (percent) with written numbers.
Results and Discussion (Size 16 pt)
The Results section should include the rationale or design of the experiments as well as the results of the experiments. Results can be presented in figures, tables, and text. Reserve extensive discussion of the results for the Discussion section.
Conclusion and Suggestion (Size 16 pt)
The Discussion section should be an interpretation of the results rather than a repetition of the Results section. The Results and Discussion sections may be combined into one section when substantial redundancy cannot be avoided if they are put into two separate sections or when a long discussion is not warranted.
Acknowledgment (Size 16 pt)
Indicate the source(s) of funds and institutions or individuals who helped in the study.
References (Size 16 pt)
Articles should contain at least 20 primary research papers, 80% from journal articles, and preferably have been published not more than 10 years. Unpublished data and personal communication should not be included as literature citations. “In Press” articles that have been accepted for publication may be cited in references and should indicate the publication date, if available. All references should be written down in the reference tool manager i.e. Mendeley using American Psychological Association (APA) style and arranged from A to Z.
